We love to share our local knowledge, especially when it comes to food! Here are our top 3 restaurants on Hobart’s waterfront, chosen for their hospitality, innovative cuisine and stunning location.

First, there’s Frank. Frank Restaurant is a favourite with the locals. Ask anyone! Frank serves South American cuisine in a restaurant on the Hobart waterfront, just a short 600m walk from The Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel.

Frank is a modern and airy restaurant, with intriguing, colourful furniture that sets the scenes for a fun and exciting experience. And the food is even better! We recommend selecting a few plates from the menu, asking the staff for drink recommendations, and taking the night as it comes.

For breathtaking views over Hobart’s Sullivan’s Cove, and some of the most creative cocktails in town, you can’t go past The Glass House. And only 700m from The Old Woolstore, you can skip the taxi fare, too.

Best known for its cocktails and perfectly matched small plates, The Glasshouse is a great first stop on a  night out in Hobart, or the last stop before heading back to the hotel. If you’re after a larger meal, we recommend choosing one of their Feed Me options with wine or spirit pairings. Then relax and watch as the bar staff and chefs work together to create perfect pairing harmonies.

And if you are after somewhere relaxed and casual but still delicious and memorable, we recommend heading to The Black Footed Pig. Located on Hobart’s Macquarie Wharf, The Black Footed Pig is just 400m, or a gentle 5 minute walk away.

Known for its excellent Mediterranean and Spanish cuisine, The Black Footed Pig does not disappoint. From 7-course set menus to small share plates, they cater to all appetites. Ask their friendly staff for advice, then sit back and enjoy your meal cooked with the finest local ingredients.

We hope we’ve inspired you to experience Hobart’s stunning waterfront with some cutlery in hand. Let us know if there’s another waterfront restaurant we should add to our list.
