Make a day of it as a family
If you’re interested in heading out of Hobart, stop in Richmond to see Australia’s oldest bridge, stroll the charming village streets, and treat the kids (and ‘big kids’) to traditional sweets and ice cream at The Richmond Lolly Shop. Things get quirky at Pooseum, and delicious with a stop at The Wicked Cheese Company on the drive home.
MONA - 10 minute flat walk to the ferry or 20 minute drive
The best way to travel to Mona is by ferry which boards from Brooke Street Pier on Hobart Waterfront (we recommend booking your ticket ahead). Eat, drink and explore the museum at your leisure.
