"I'd like to express my appreciation of the service and facilities at the Old Woolstore. It runs rings around many much more expensive hotels. Money spent on room furnishing seems to be have been intelligently spent. Good, comfortable mattresses, good working area, decent shower and good quality appliances. I really appreciated the space. As I stayed there 8 days, that was a real plus. The ease and affordability of Internet access was another bonus. I used room service twice and my meals were delivered promptly and cooked exactly as requested (now that's quite rare ) The service of front desk, room service and housekeeping was friendly, accommodating and efficient without being over- friendly or fawning. I missed my plane and immediately booked myself right back in again. The advice from the girls at reception ensured I had a great day which ended in a trip around Betsey Island on Wild Thing. I loved my first trip to Tassie, so it won't be my last. I would always try to stay at the Old Woolstore and have no hesitation in recommending it to friends and family."

It's in a great location; close to the waterfront, but not so close that you would be disturbed by people lounging around. It also provides access to major roads out of Hobart.
